Bio

Emma is a writer and reporter based in Asheville, NC. She attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Mass Communication and a license in Elementary Education. She believes effective communication empowers the public, bridges gaps and improves equity – and that core belief informs every facet of her career.

Emma is passionate about access and experience. She believes that everyone should have the resources they need to enjoy life to the fullest - whether that means a night of Netflix on the couch or a multi-day trek through the Alaskan tundra. Health is a human right, not a privilege. This is why she feels passionately about the legalization and normalization of natural healthcare tools like cannabis.

While the mountains of Western North Carolina are her home base, she spends most of her time on the road, exploring the public lands and wilderness of America in her camperized Honda Element (affectionately known as the Brave Little Toaster). She is an avid hiker and backpacker with an affinity for the way moss patterns on a rock and the inimitable glow of a campfire beneath a starry sky. When it’s safe, she looks forward to trading in the car keys for her passport and traveling abroad again.

Because of her nomadic lifestyle, Emma doesn’t currently have any furry friends relying on her, but she grew up on 40 acres of land with numerous pets. Between rabbits, lizards, fish, snakes, ferrets, dogs and cats, her family had as many as eight pets at one time! She’s happy to be working with Paw CBD to empower pet owners to create the best life for their beloved animals.
